When a design includes color or ink that reaches all the way to the edge of the sheet, artwork bleed is required. Bleed is required whether its a graphic or a photograph or artwork. In order for our printing machines to operate without damaging the product, we need a gripping area on the sheet’s edge where they can grab hold of the product to apply the ink.

All submitted files should have a 2mm bleed on both sides to guarantee that there are no white spaces on the printed product. In other words, your design should always be 2mm larger than the actual print format, including all photos and graphics. Failure to do so could result in white margins on the printed page if slight variations occur. You should avoid employing edge-to-edge layouts in order to ensure that fonts and other critical elements of your artwork are visible by keeping them at least 3mm away from the final format (this does not include the bleed).

In order to ensure that your document’s layout and colors are exactly as you intended, a proof is a one-time copy of your printed document. A proofset is another term for a proof. Before we start the final print a document must first be proofed.

As part of our regular practice, we’ll generate and deliver to you an electronic proof in PDF or printed paper, which you may see in person at our store or have emailed to you for your review. We may make a proof on our machines to show how various colors will appear on the final product for tasks needing several colors.

Having this assurance is the greatest way to ensure that all of our work and yours is done to your satisfaction and that everything reads and appears just as you intended. Every now and again, we all make mistakes. We all benefit if errors are found during the proofreading process rather than after your job has been completed and delivered.

Turnaround Times and Availability

Orders for next day printing must be confirmed by 1pm EST in order to be included in our same-day printing runs. If you miss our 1pm cutoff, your purchase will be ready for collection the following business day between 4pm and 6pm if you order before then. We always get your approval before we begin working on your artwork. The production times do not include the time required for delivery.

3 & 3-5 Day Orders

Orders for 3 and 3-5 day delivery must be confirmed by 10 a.m. EST in order to begin production. Your order will be ready for pickup on the designated day between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. We always get your approval before we begin working on your artwork. The production times do not include the time required for delivery.

Custom Orders

Because custom orders do not fall within our standard production schedule, we will provide you with an estimate of how long your order will take to complete before it is shipped.
